Event Tips

Book Hotels Early

Monterey Car Week hotels sell out 6 months in advance. Book as soon as dates are announced. Consider staying in nearby Carmel or Salinas.

Buy Tickets in Advance

The Quail and Pebble Beach sell out. Buy tickets the moment they go on sale. Some events have lottery systems for entry.

Dress the Part

Goodwood Revival requires period dress (1940s-1960s). Pebble Beach is cocktail attire. Villa d'Este is black tie optional.

Bring a Camera

Phone cameras are fine, but enthusiasts bring DSLRs with telephoto lenses. Some events restrict professional equipment.

Network

Car week events are social. Bring business cards. Many deals happen in the hospitality tents, not the auction rooms.

Budget for Auctions

Even if you are not buying, auction previews are free and incredible. Monterey auctions sell $400M+ in cars. A $5M Ferrari is breathtaking up close.
