What Makes Grange Special

The YSL Connection

Jacques Grange's most famous project is the Paris apartment he designed for Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé. The Rue de Babylone residence became a legend of 20th-century interiors — a mix of Art Deco, Orientalism, and modern art that defined Parisian chic. When the collection was auctioned by Christies in 2009, it fetched €374 million.

Palazzo Brandolini

Grange's restoration of Palazzo Brandolini in Venice is considered one of the finest examples of historic preservation meeting contemporary design. The 16th-century palace was transformed into a private residence that honors its Renaissance heritage while incorporating modern art, lighting, and comfort.

Collector's Eye

Grange is as much a collector as a designer. His own homes — in Paris, Normandy, and Portugal — are filled with treasures accumulated over decades. This collector's sensibility informs his client work: each project is curated like a museum, with objects, art, and furniture that tell a story.

French Elegance

Grange's style is unmistakably French — refined, sensual, and historically informed. He mixes periods with abandon: a 17th-century commode beneath a Picasso, a Venetian mirror above a modern sofa. The result is never eclectic for its own sake; it is always coherent, always sophisticated, always Parisian.

"A room should be a collection of things you love. Not a showroom, but a home."
